LE DRY NEEDLING
The aim of Dry Needling is to treat muscle triggers/trigger points/painful myofascial syndromes. Muscle trigger points can be treated by manual techniques or with the help of a sterile acupuncture needle that will prick the muscle trigger point (dry needling). This gesture of pricking would reactivate the vascularization and oxygen supply in the contracted muscle fiber and fascia, reduce the inflammatory reaction, and thus release muscle tension in a lasting way.
Objectives:

 • Understand the pathophysiology of myofascial pain syndrome and trigger points.
• Know and understand the referred pain patterns of the 37 major muscles.
• Are able to distinguish between active and latent trigger points and assess their clinical relevance using clear clinical diagnostic criteria.
• Can manually accurately locate trigger points.
• Know the patient-specific coaching strategies that apply when using Dry Needling.
• Know the specific indications of Dry Needling and can use these techniques effectively and appropriately for the 36 main muscles.
• Understand and know the hygiene measures for Dry Needling and put them into practice correctly.
• Know all the contraindications of Dry Needling
• Are aware of the possible dangers of Dry Needling and are able, if necessary, to react appropriately to a possible incident
. • have deepened your anatomical knowledge through practical palpation exercises and can safely use Dry Needling on patients
Course Content
These 3 days of training cover the essence of the clinical practice of Dry Needling Therapy of trigger points. The practical, theoretical and treatment basics of the 36 muscles of the body, which are most often affected by trigger points, are taught. Much of the course is practical with great importance for clinical integration. The participants practice Dry Needling in pairs with consistent supervision.
